MUET, which stands for Malaysian University English Test, is a compulsory English proficiency test taken by students who plan to pursue higher studies in Malaysian universities. When Is The MUET 2025 Examination?
The MUET test is usually held three times per year:

Meanwhile, the MUET speaking test will be organised on a different day, spread over a duration of two weeks. What Are The Fees For the MUET 2025 Examination?
If you are a candidate from a public or private school, you can register for the MUET examination through your school or institution. But if you are a private candidate, you can register through the MPM portal by yourself. You can register and pay the MUET fee by purchasing an MEC PIN.
The MPM portal serves as a one-stop centre for MUET candidates to obtain information regarding the MUET examination, including checking registration status, downloading the exam slip, and viewing their results.
It’s important to note that MUET fees differ for Malaysian citizens and non-Malaysian citizens.

The test fees need to be paid in full before a candidate can sit for the exam. In case a candidate wishes to withdraw from the exam, the fees are normally not refunded. However, in certain cases, a refund of RM90.00 (MUET) or RM230.00 (MoD) will be paid to Malaysian candidates, and RM230.00 (MUET) or RM330.00 (MoD) will be paid to non-Malaysian candidates.
What is the Latest MUET 2025 Format?
The MUET syllabus comprises of 4 components: listening, speaking, reading and writing test, with each component carrying equal weightage.

Approximately 50 minutes is given for the listening test.
Meanwhile, the speaking test will evaluate your ability to give an oral presentation individually. Apart from that, the test will also assess your ability to interact in a small group in both informal and formal situations.

- Task 2 - Extended writing (discursive, argumentative, or a problem-solution of at least 250 words)

What is the MUET Paper Marking Scheme?
The maximum score for each paper is 90, with a total aggregated score of 360. Results MUET are graded on a nine-band scale with Band 5+ being the highest and 1.0 being the lowest.
