Where to find MUET past years and other resources?

Since the MUET format has changed recently, you may not be able to find a past year paper on this subject (yet). However, there are other MUET resources that have already come up with notes, tips, exercises and intensive practise following the new MUET format.

You can find them through:

  • Printed revision books you can buy through bookstores or online
  • Website or blog dedicated to sharing notes and tips on MUET
  • Youtube channels by MUET teachers
  • Telegram channels that discuss MUET exam tips

Since the MUET papers are updated according to the CERF format, you may use other English examinations such as IELTS past year papers as a reference as well.

However, we do encourage you to look out for printed MUET revision books from a reliable book publisher. These books are usually co-written by experienced examiners and examination questions writers.

How to score MUET writing paper?

In order to produce great MUET essays, you will have to practice writing every day. It is also wise to understand and get familiar with a different MUET writing sample.

For the MUET writing exam, there is no strict writing format that you need to follow. But it is good to know that you will be writing a letter or an email for the first questions. For the second question, you will be required to write reflective writing for either discursive, argumentative or problem-solving essays.

Getting critiques and feedback on your essays are also the best way to improve your essay writing skills. You can ask your English subject teacher to check your essay or look for a tutor to help you out.
