Looking back at my time, searching for a good past years’ paper to be our reference for the upcoming examination was very hard as it was not easy to come by. The best thing we can do is to always focus in class, jotting down notes, exchanging notes with classmates and buying newspapers as they usually publish forecast questions in the education section.

Fast forward to this day, I get a little envious with the boundless privileges given to students these days. Most things can be discovered at the end of your fingertip. Everything is easy to access. You can instantly get all the information needed in the blink of an eye by using a laptop or smartphone.

In addition to that, there are various links or channels that provide us with notes, online practices, and even online video courses. Since the Movement Control Order (MCO) has been placed in 2020, most teachers and students have taken the initiative to upgrade more on themselves to be able to be an expert on IT.

Some teachers are now able to make their own youtube teaching channel, some can make their own lesson applications and there are a lot more able to present their lesson interactively by powerpoint, videos or games. All these materials can be easily accessible by students and teachers to get all the necessary information.

Superprof will guide you on finding the best past years’ papers, forecast papers and sample questions that will be helpful in preparing you for your test. On top of that, we will also recommend you on a few other platforms and materials that are worth looking at.

Before we go to that part, you should know what is the latest PT3 mathematics format in 2021.

Why Should You Know the Latest Format for PT3 Mathematics?

student learning about geometry

Once again, I will admit how jealous I am of the new generations. Do you know that your current textbook has been improved a lot better compared to the previously dull looking textbooks?

What has changed?

To make a comparison, the latest textbook is the type of reference book that we will buy at any bookstore for a price more than RM20! The books contain short notes, tips and colourful diagrams and pictures. Previously the books only contained at least 2 colors and only a few pages contained full color photos.

Does the format change along with the textbook?

Yes, the syllabus also changed a lot! A few topics that were previously taught in higher secondary were switched to the lower secondary and there are few new topics too.

Besides, the assessment format for PT3 is changed too. The PT3 paper is divided into 3 sections – A, B and C. Section A contains lower-level questions, Section B contains lower to middle level and Section C contains middle to higher level of complexity.

However, HOTs questions were intensively asked throughout all sections. Students and parents need to understand the latest format so that you wouldn't use or buy the previous PT3 versions’ materials.

Some of you might be looking for Mathematics KSSM Textbook in English Language published by Pelangi Publication for all the lower secondary Form 1, Form 2 and Form 3.

  1. Mathematics KSSM Form 1 Textbook
  2. Mathematics KSSM Form 2 Textbook
  3. Mathematics KSSM Form 3 Textbook

How to Choose and Look for a Good PT3 Mathematics Latest 2021 Reference Paper?

There are hundreds of reference materials available in the marketplace, websites, and bookstores. Choosing the best one is hard. Some don't follow the latest format, some have easy questions, some only hard questions and some don't have a good marking scheme.

Looking for a good reference book is very important to familiarise yourself with examination questions format (Source : The Star)

If you accidentally bought these kinds of materials, the probability that the revision you made is very likely not effective.

Why?

The reason is because the questions that might come out in the examination will follow the format set by the Examination Board (LP) and the difficulty levels of questions varies amongst topics. Besides, the best reference materials also offer the best answer scheme following the LP’s format.

So, the first thing to look at is the latest PT3 format that comes from the original source of Malaysian Ministry of Education (MOE) itself.

Secondly, the PT3 past year analysis questions. The analysis will only be available in the first page of any mathematics books or on any good websites.

Thirdly, in every question that you’re going to do, make sure the answer scheme shows the step-by-step answering process.

If you found all these in any of the reference books or sites, that means you are ready to start doing your revision effectively.

Nonetheless, some of these publishing companies have their ebook available to purchase too. There are no reasons for you to not being able to get your hand on these materials. Just like one of the Malay proverb says, if you want to get something, you’ll do everything in your might, but if you don't want to do it, you’ll have every excuses that you can make.

What is The Best Education TV for PT3 Mathematics?

Students learn through DidikTV
MOE has invested on providing an education TV to ease students who doesn't have access to internet connection. (Source : The Star)

During this couple years, the extensiveness of students using Edu TV and Online Education sites has increased to the extent that the government allocated about RM 50.4 billion for schools and education.

TVOkey has been launched by RTM (National TV) with an initial of two hours teaching per day. Government awarded RM 2 million to the vendor to produce educational content by October 2021. This initiative has been made considering 30% of Malaysian students aren’t able to get internet connection at home.

Nonetheless, there are another 2 education TV shows that have the same objectives which are Astro Tutor TV (Channel 603) – a series created by Astro Malaysia that invites talented and experienced teachers to teach PT3; and DidikTV by MOE that have many educational drama series and teaching programmes.

These educational TVs are available to watch from Youtube too. You can also get the programme information date and time from MOE site. Lastly, check out the Complete Guide to PT3 Mathematics to get all the info about tackling the subject.

What is important to succeed is to start from within. You need to start having motivation to acquire more new knowledge each day. However, I believe some of the students need a little push to succeed.

This push might start from parents. It is either you keep monitoring your kids to study and do homework or you can look for the best alternatives such as providing tuition or extra classes for them. Sometimes, if you solely depend on self-study by doing exercises without good guidance, the result might still be the same.

The benefit of having extra tuition is to get extra knowledge other than what they learn in the classroom. Sometimes, their learning pace might be slower than their peers so learning in smaller groups or one-to-one can be a great help to them. They won’t be shy to ask questions too since the teacher is there to guide them answering any kind of questions.

Look no further, you can find the best tutors that can cater to your needs here at Superprof. Our tutors are not just experienced tutors in the education niche, but they are also the best at providing the best learning experience for you.

The fee?

No worries, some tutors give a free 30-days trial. So you can try out the classes and if you find a good fit, you can hire them for a fee as low as RM30/hour! That is very much affordable compared to the current market price.

Remember, math is very important not only to get a certificate but also for living your life to the fullest. Even the simplest origami is made by mathematical concepts. If you find yourself failing in Math, don't give up.

"Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up"

-Chinese Proverb
