About Anne

Teaching piano is a privilege that allows me to share the beauty of music while guiding students toward technical mastery and artistic expression. About the lesson

Teaching piano is about more than just learning notes and technique; it’s about inspiring students to connect deeply with music and develop their own artistic voice. I dedicate myself to creating lessons that balance discipline with creativity, providing clear technical guidance alongside opportunities for personal expression.

I work to build a strong technical foundation through exercises focused on finger strength, coordination, rhythmic precision, and sight-reading, but always tie these skills to pieces and styles that excite each student personally. My repertoire spans classical works, jazz improvisations, pop tunes, and film scores, selected to maintain engagement and broaden musical horizons. Theory and ear training are embedded into lessons to cultivate well-rounded musicianship, while improvisation and composition exercises empower students to explore and develop creativity. I emphasize effective practice strategies and goal setting tailored to each student’s lifestyle, helping sustain motivation and measurable progress.

Technology—including recording tools, metronomes, and learning apps—is incorporated to enhance feedback and encourage self-evaluation. One of my most rewarding teaching moments was watching a student gain confidence and technical mastery, culminating in a moving recital performance that reflected both skill and heartfelt expression. I aim to foster an encouraging, inspiring atmosphere where students grow not only as pianists but as lifelong lovers of music.
