About Ashley
Hello ! My name is Ashley and I am a certified TEFL Teaching English as a Foreign Language teacher. Until now, I was responsible for English immersion programs for young Francophones in the United States. During their stays, I gave group and individual lessons. I have been teaching English for five years now. I was a substitute teacher in California, and I am still certified as a substitute teacher. I love helping people communicate confidently in English! During the COVID-19 epidemic, I only offer distance learning courses by Skype or Zoom. I am particularly passionate about languages, and I believe that being bilingual has helped me understand the unique difficulties that Francophones have in expressing themselves in English. I learned French in high school, but also when I went to Bordeaux to take my degree in Sociology at the University of Bordeaux. I was the foreigner! I believe my experience has given me a perspective of the unique needs of Francophones while learning English. In addition, even if you have no experience in English, we can communicate easily and start slowly.
