About Jan
I am a high school student at a high school in Berlin with a language level of C2, attend the English advanced class and complete it with the top grade of A+. I have two Toefl certificates with top grades, this is a test that checks listening comprehension, reading comprehension and grammatical knowledge. So far I have not made the experience of being a tutor, but I run a freetime course in my school for students from 5th to 10th grade, in which I teach them how to solve the Rubik's Cube. Here you often have to rethink and adjust to the individual student. In this respect, I can display some experiences of dealing with kids and teens during the learning process.

Since I work with students of a relatively large age range (who are often in puberty, which does not necessarily make it easier), I am always very flexible when it comes to learning methods. I have to get to know the student briefly so that we can adjust to one another. In my opinion, it is particularly important in language lessons to use different media so that you can reflect and use the knowledge you have in a variety of ways. Whether this was to be be a creative writing task or watching and then reflecting on your favorite movie in English will vary. But with a great involvement of the student in the process, we can face any exam or lesson!
