About Shounak
I come from Bengal, India. I have completed M.A. and also have the Certificate of Teaching English as a Second Language. I have taught as a guest lecturer in college and also been giving private tuition to students. Throughout, in my academic endeavor as a student, and professional career as a teacher, I've noticed that there is a considerable gap between the goal of the curriculum of a particular discipline and the students' achievement at the end of that curriculum. This gap becomes more prominent in language learning, especially in the case of learning English, so much so, that after 10 years of studying English as a second language in school, the student will not be able to speak the language with minimum confidence. That's why I intend to teach the language in a way that, although might deviate from most academic methods, at least ensures that the student comprehends what he has learned, and actually uses it in practical life.

I like to teach each individual specifically what they need or require. Therefore, I don't have a cut-out structure for a course that would fit everyone. That's exactly what I don't intend to do while teaching. I like to understand the needs and goals of an individual student and plan the course accordingly to secure the best result for that individual student.
