About Kathryn
I am an ESL online teacher. I've taught English to children between the ages of 4 – 16 years old and adults. Totaling 2922 classes, 770 students, and counting. Classes consisted of English grammar, conversational practice, spelling, pronunciation techniques, reading fluency, and comprehension. Taught in a fast-paced environment where energy and kindness blended with cultural awareness and mutual respect to create a fluid learning environment. I create lesson plans and teaching material to support the online classroom environment. I assist students with conversational practice, test-taking, report writing, and native pronunciation techniques. Praised by children and parents for demonstrating excellent teaching skills to include: comprehension checks, scaffolding, and student encouragement; strengths to include: conversational practice and pronunciation; and a warm, friendly disposition.

I teach and converse using the Socratic Method. I use the student's comfort level with the subject as the foundation to build up from. After the initial assessment, I then create sessions to challenge and engage them to grow their skill set and confidence within their subject. Once a relationship is established, feedback throughout the sessions is used to either continue to challenge or circle back to points where review is necessary to continue to reinforce solid habits within the student's practice. The cycle is repeated and adjusted to adapt to the student's needs, confidence, and comprehension.
