About Aleesha

As a student myself, I had extra help from passionate and dedicated teachers. Now as a teacher, I am hoping to pass on my skills, time, passion and expertise in subjects such as English, History and Religious Education.

I have a Bachelor of Arts (2020), with a double major in Literature and History, and I have my Masters of Teaching (Secondary) with a Graduate Certificate in Religious Education (2022). I also am provisionally registered with VIT and also have my Working with Childrens Check. I have also had a police check.

I currently teach VCE English and junior English at one of the oldest girls schools in Victoria. I have been entrusted with teaching two Year 11 English classes for the past two years, and know the course well. As it is a direct mimic of the Year 12 course, I am comfortable assisting students in both Year 11 and Year 12.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I will work on the curriculum that the student is currently going through at school, and assist them in their understanding whilst improving their skills.

Typical lessons would range from one hour to an hour and a half depending on the needs of the student.

As a Masters graduate in Secondary Education, my expertise is working with high school aged children, however, I am open to working with children of any age.

My prices reflect the work and access my VCE students will have to me. Beyond the one on one lesson once a week, students will be able to reach me via email at any time they wish. This price also reflects my organisation of work, reading of novels/literature and communication with students' teachers. This price also includes a small fee for the travel cost.

If you are looking for a tutor for a junior (Year 7 to 10), these prices are slightly lower. Please get into contact with me to discuss further.
