About Subash Chandra Bose
I’m a passionate and detail-oriented web developer with a flair for design and a commitment to creating seamless digital experiences. With a strong foundation in computer science and hands-on internship experience in both frontend and backend technologies, I specialize in crafting dynamic, responsive websites that prioritize usability and performance. During my journey at Bishop Heber College, I’ve engaged in meaningful real-time projects like an Attendance Management System and a Transit Time Planner—both of which combined practical functionality with intuitive interfaces. My internships at Unified Mentor and Extaazee Software sharpened my skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and more. Beyond coding, I enjoy working with design tools like Figma, Canva, and Adobe Suite to ensure every interface not only works well but looks great too. I’ve also earned certifications in Python for Data Science, UI/UX design, DBMS, and responsive web design. My Approach to Teaching Mathematics and Algebra
1. Teaching Techniques and Methods
Mathematics, especially Algebra, becomes meaningful when it is taught with logic, structure, and relevance. My methods include:
Step-by-Step Problem Solving: I break down problems into small, manageable steps, helping learners understand both the how and why behind each solution.
Visual and Graphical Explanation: I use number lines, graphs, and equation plots to demonstrate abstract algebraic concepts like functions, inequalities, and linear systems.
Real-Life Applications: I connect algebra to real-world situations—such as budgeting, geometry in architecture, or logic in coding—to make learning practical and engaging.
Socratic Method: I guide students to discover patterns and rules by asking leading questions instead of simply providing answers.
Practice Through Variation: I provide practice problems with gradually increasing difficulty and variation to reinforce learning without monotony.
2. Usual Structure of a Math/Algebra Class
Recap & Mental Warm-Up (5–10 minutes): Quick review of previous concepts, and a few mental math or logic puzzles to activate the brain.
Concept Introduction (15–20 minutes): Explanation of a new algebraic concept (e.g., solving quadratic equations), using visual aids or relatable examples.
Guided Practice (20–30 minutes): Solving a variety of problems together, encouraging participation and explaining each step clearly.
Independent Practice (15–20 minutes): Learners solve exercises on their own or in groups, applying what they’ve learned.
Wrap-Up & Clarification (5–10 minutes): Recap of key ideas, doubt-clearing, and assigning follow-up practice.
3. Special Features as a Math Teacher
Conceptual Focus: I emphasize understanding over memorization—why formulas work, not just how to apply them.
Error Analysis: I encourage learners to find and fix their own mistakes, which builds confidence and deeper insight.
Custom Worksheets & Digital Tools: I create tailored problem sets and use math platforms like Desmos or GeoGebra for interactive demonstrations.
Supportive Environment: I help learners overcome math anxiety by celebrating small wins and building a growth mindset.
4. Intended Audience
My math and algebra classes are suitable for:
Middle School to High School Students: For foundational concepts, school curriculum support, and exam preparation.
College Students: For brushing up on algebra for engineering, computer science, or entrance exams.
Adult Learners & Career Switchers: Especially those preparing for competitive exams, learning algebra for tech fields, or just catching up on missed fundamentals.
