About Daniel
English Literature has always been a subject I’ve felt extremely confident and passionate about—whether at GCSE or A-Level. I achieved a Grade 9 in English Literature at GCSE and dropped just one mark in my A-Level coursework, reflecting the depth of my understanding and commitment to the subject. From analysing the deeper meanings behind a text to exploring different interpretations of a character or theme, I truly enjoy everything the subject has to offer. Through tutoring, I hope to share that enjoyment and help students gain a clearer, deeper understanding of the texts they’re studying. I aim to make literature feel less overwhelming and more engaging, building confidence and skills that last beyond the exam.

We work closely on analysing key passages from the texts you're studying, with constant feedback to help you improve your written responses. Whether it’s a Shakespeare play, a 19th-century novel, or modern poetry, we’ll explore the deeper meanings behind the texts, considering different interpretations and how to express them effectively in essays. The goal is not only to help you succeed in your exams, but to help you develop your own voice and understanding of literature through discussion, analysis, and regular practice.
