About Noelle
I am an Oxford-graduate, private tutor specialising in 11+& 13+ entrance exams, with over a decade of experience for entry into top academic schools.
All 2024 students secured admissions to top-tier schools such as Westminster, Eton, and St Paul's.
I have a blog which offers tutoring advice for the 11+, which you can read here: (concealed information)
I cover all subjects - English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, Science and interview preparation.
After graduating with a First-class degree from the University of Oxford in 2015, I started tutoring with leading London-based agencies such as Keystone Tutors, Bonas MacFarlane, and Enjoy Education. In the last ten years, I have helped many students achieve places at their dream school, and have lots of in-depth knowledge of the exam entry process.
I grew up in the Norfolk countryside, where I won a scholarship to attend Gresham's School, a private co-ed boarding school. I always loved reading and studying, consistently achieving top grades - 6A*6As in GCSE, and A*A*A in A-Level; in my A2-Level for English and Fine Art, I came top of the country gaining 100% in both exams. After school, I graduated from the University of Oxford in 2015, where I obtained a First Class degree in Fine Arts, and was awarded a Moritz Heyman Scholarship.
Teaching, reading, and art have always been at the heart of my life. I am currently completing a part-time Masters at Goldsmiths University, whilst balancing tutoring with a career as a contemporary artist and writer.

7+, 8+, 10+, 11+, 13+ ISEB Pretests CAT4 entrance exams:
In 2024, all of my students received offers from their first-choice schools — including Westminster, Eton, City of London, South Hampstead, and Latymer. I specialise in preparing children for competitive entrance exams, covering comprehension, grammar, mental arithmetic, creative writing, and problem-solving — always with a calm, steady approach (and a good sense of humour along the way).
We practise under timed conditions; break down tricky questions together; and gradually build the kind of quiet confidence that makes a real difference — both in exams and at interview. I want students to feel stretched, supported, and genuinely curious about what they’re learning. Vocabulary and spelling are especially important for the 11+, so I often work with parents to create a personalised reading list and a structured approach to vocabulary building.
In creative writing, I help children move past the “tick every box” approach and focus on truly understanding what makes a good story. We start by making sure they have a solid grasp of grammar and punctuation; then explore how to use that knowledge as a tool for expression — to add rhythm, tension, and drama to their writing. From there, we bring stories to life: believable characters, atmospheric settings, and plots with shape and feeling. The goal is to help children find a voice that’s truly their own — and then show them how to use it with confidence and flair!
My students have gained places at top academic schools, including:
* Westminster
* St Paul’s
* Latymer
* King’s College Wimbledon
* Alleyn's
* Tiffin
* Queen Elizabeth
* City of London
* Highgate
* Harrow
* Eton
* Wycombe Abbey
* Haberdashers
* UCS
* South Hampstead
* Putney High
* Wimbledon High
* Emanuel
* Dulwich College
* Brighton College
* Tonbridge
* Sevenoaks
* Godolphin and Latymer
* Winchester College

English, Art and History of Art A-Level & University Applications:
I teach GCSE and A Level English Literature, A Level History of Art, creative writing, and support with university applications (including Oxbridge). Many of my students have gone on to receive offers from Oxford, Cambridge, and UCL. Success in exams isn’t just about content—it’s about mastering what examiners are looking for. I help students to: • Plan effectively and structure ideas clearly • Choose and analyse quotations that support arguments • Write with fluency, accuracy and formal precision • Hit assessment objectives with depth and insight • Develop strong timed essay skills without sacrificing originality In English, I encourage students to form their own interpretations rather than rely on memorised notes. In History of Art, we build thematic essays and tackle unseen analysis with confidence and visual insight.

SEN experience:
I often tutor students with learning difficulties, such as autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD, as these are frequently the students who, despite being fantastically intelligent and creative, are struggling in certain areas at school and require individual support. This is usually in subjects like creative writing, comprehension, spelling and punctuation. We work on adapting the class to suit their learning style and focus on rebuilding their confidence, which is often low due to feeling like they’re underperforming in a traditional classroom setting.

Perfect! Noelle is an outstanding tutor who goes far beyond traditional teaching. She has an incredible gift for mentoring children to develop study skills that will carry them confidently through their entire academic journey.
Since working with Noelle, my daughter has become significantly more independent in her learning. One of the most impactful things Noelle has done is curate a personalised reading list that incrementally grows in both ATOS and Lexile levels. Her carefully chosen book selections have transformed my daughter into an obsessive reader - something I never imagined possible! She's even developed a love for genres she previously had no interest in.
Noelle’s thoughtful, strategic approach has ignited a passion for learning in my daughter, and the progress she’s made has been truly remarkable. I cannot recommend her highly enough to any parent looking for a tutor who nurtures not just academic skills, but a lifelong love of learning.Perfect! Noelle is the perfect teacher for my son who is preparing for the 13+ exams. She has a wealth of experience and is incredibly kind and approachable, always working at the child’s level. She gives thoughtful and insightful feedback, clearly identifying areas where he needs improvement. Since the 13+ is a competitive entrance exam, I highly recommend her if you're looking for a strategic and structured tutor. She will provide a variety of resources, effective teaching methods, and a personalized roadmap tailored to your child!
Perfect! Noëlle was an absolute gem of a tutor for our son in the run-up to his Eton exam—calm, clever, and quietly brilliant at building his confidence without ever making a fuss about it. She somehow managed to make even the trickiest bits feel manageable, striking that perfect balance between structure and encouragement. Our son genuinely looked forward to his sessions with her (a miracle in itself!), and by the time the exam rolled around, he felt prepared, steady, and even a little excited—which says it all. We’re so grateful to have found her and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone navigating the wild world of top-tier school admissions.

He had always struggled with timed comprehension and lacked confidence in writing creatively. Noelle’s patient, encouraging approach really clicked with him. She gave him practical tools, but also inspired him to enjoy English for the first time. We couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out.
Noelle built a solid foundation in both English, Maths and reasoning. Thanks to her dedication, our son was offered places at City of London and Westminster.
I needed someone to help my son catch up in English after we relocated to London, and help prepare for 11+ exams. She’s very organised and sets clear expectations. I highly recommend her as a tutor.
We started classes with Noelle help our daughter with both Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning. She is a thoughtful, intuitive tutor who takes her time to understand how each student works. She made challenging topics accessible and always found a way to explain them that clicked. Really fab tutor!
I came across this tutor on Superprof while searching for someone to guide my daughter through the 11+ entrance exam process. She is the sort of tutor who listens first, builds trust, and then gradually introduces rigour in a way that doesn't overwhelm. Each lesson had a clear focus, and she always followed up with notes or homework suggestions. Our daughter was offered places at both schools we applied to - St Paul's Girls and Latymer - and she couldn’t have done it without her!
We always felt our child was in very safe, thoughtful hands. Couldn't recommend more highly.
We were introduced to this tutor by another parent in our school WhatsApp group. She came highly recommended, and we now understand why. She’s a thoughtful and highly organised tutor—clear in her communication and calm in her delivery. Our son was preparing for his ISEB pre-tests and needed support particularly in comprehension and creative writing. She identified his weak points quickly and set achievable goals each week. He gained entry into Eton - our top choice!
We found this tutor through Superprof when looking for someone to help our daughter prepare for the 11+ exams. Noelle is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and warm.
Sessions were always well-organised, and she adapted to our daughter’s pace and needs with such sensitivity.
I would wholeheartedly recommend her to other Superprof members. Not only did our daughter gain confidence and make measurable progress in English and reasoning, but she actually enjoyed the sessions. That’s no small feat!
We are incredibly grateful for the support and guidance provided during our son's 11+ journey. The tutoring sessions were engaging, tailored to his needs, and always focused on building confidence as well as skill. Thanks to this, he not only secured offers from his top-choice schools but also developed a genuine love for learning. We couldn’t have asked for a better tutor!
