About Ezequiel

Music is my passion and the most authentic way I connect with my emotions. I feel truly privileged to dedicate my life to what I love. I come from a family of teachers, and I have always felt the calling to teach and share knowledge. I started playing the piano at the age of 4. My training took place entirely in Argentina, where I studied classical piano at the “Manuel de Falla” National Conservatory and perfected my craft with more than fifteen private teachers over the years. From each of them, I learned not only musical technique and theory, but also valuable tools and diverse teaching approaches. I firmly believe that being able to play does not necessarily mean being able to teach: the key is to create a relaxed environment in which the student feels heard, motivated, and leaves each lesson with clear goals to practice on their own. Throughout my career, I have worked as a classical and jazz pianist, accompanist for singers, solo performer, composer, arranger, and musical director. I have also had the opportunity to bring my music to a wide range of stages, from theatres and private events to international cruise ships. For the past 18 years, I have been teaching in both Argentina and Australia, and I truly enjoy sharing my passion with every student, convinced that the joy of playing the piano can be experienced from day one.

About the lesson

For a piano lesson to be truly effective, I believe it needs to strike the right balance: offering challenges that push the student to improve, but that are also achievable to avoid frustration. Music should be associated with enjoyment and learning in a warm, encouraging environment where the student feels heard, supported, recognized for their progress, and guided with patience through their difficulties. I take the time to get to know each student in order to identify their strengths and build on them, as well as their areas for improvement, which we address using the most suitable approach for each case. The flexibility and variety of teaching tools I have developed over my career are among my greatest strengths as an educator. My lessons often extend beyond the scheduled time, especially when there is commitment and active feedback from the student. That’s why I recommend leaving a little extra time to make the most of each session. In an age where information is unlimited, I see the teacher’s role as that of a guide: filtering, organizing, and presenting content in a structured way, tailored to the student’s needs and goals. This means considering not only what I believe will benefit the student’s growth, but also their preferred repertoire, objectives with the piano, and level of commitment to practice. When the student feels they are progressing and can trust their teacher, they know they are moving forward in an organized way and with a clear direction. I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” method or book for every student. Each learner is unique, with their own tastes, goals, strengths, and challenges. That’s why I provide all the necessary materials, as well as videos and additional resources to reinforce what we’ve covered and make practicing at home easier. I also recommend using online platforms that allow the lesson to be recorded, so the student can review it at their own pace, pausing and replaying specific parts as needed. I offer a first trial lesson so the student can experience my teaching style and make sure they feel comfortable and motivated before starting a learning journey together. Perfect! In addition to mastering different rhythms, Ezequiel helps students understand the theory, but at the same time keeps the student having fun, making the learning process enjoyable!

The teachers that cannot play the pieces they are providing for their students or balk at demonstrating what you are being taught for AMEB, Trinity or what ever these are the teachers to avoid. I should know I've had plenty of them.

There are a lot of fakes out there and Ezequiel is not one of them! He can walk the walk and talk the talk and has the experience to back it up.

Hope this review helps other students like me who deserve the best in music tuition find descent instructors that are intuitive, progressive, creative, forward thinking and more importantly that actually care. . . . .
