About Nikos Muslim
My full-time - permanent - paid teaching responsibilities include all levels in English as a core subject: key stage 3/4/5.
I hold qualified teacher status (in England), with two post-graduate certificates in education (PGCE) - plus a certificate in special educational needs in deaf education. My first PGCE was obtained in 2015.
I am also able to teach British Sign Language (BSL) to beginners.
What motivates me is the opportunity to give back to my community. By thinking in this way - by seeking reward of satisfaction - I am more efficient to the people around me. If I am of use to others, I feel of worth. Sometimes it is hard to see my value for others if analysing data daily. A wider reflection is important to take note of: for example, reflection across a few weeks or a term, but also to consider and not to forget the individual internal challenges a person has. Having said that, it is important that I remember to work on the terms of other, in order to be able to facilitate any kind of improvement to all the people I serve.
