About Kiara

"After 6 years of teaching and nearly thousands of students, I’ve seen how powerful music can be. I work with high school students, college students, and adults who want to learn piano in a relaxed, supportive environment. My lessons focus on building confidence. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable making mistakes and trying new things. I use a gentle approach, always taking the time to explain things clearly and slowly when needed. I also believe that music should be personal. That’s why I encourage students to pick songs they enjoy. We use those songs to practice rhythm, technique, and expression. I bring in basic music theory as we go, so it’s easy to understand. One moment that stands out was helping a college student with no music background perform a song at their graduation party. Seeing their smile after the performance reminded me why I teach. If you want to enjoy learning piano and feel proud of your progress, I’ll be happy to help."

About the lesson

"I teach piano using a method built on Compassion, Integrity, and Adaptability — values that have guided me through teaching more than 150 students over the past 6 years. Each student is different, and I believe lessons should reflect that.

Compassion means I take the time to truly understand each student’s needs and feelings. Piano can be challenging, and I make sure students feel comfortable making mistakes and trying again. I’m here to support, not pressure, and I aim to make each lesson fun and encouraging.

Integrity means I’m always honest and clear in my teaching. I show students where they are, what they’ve accomplished, and what comes next. I prepare meaningful lessons that match their goals — whether that’s learning chords, playing by ear, or improving technique.

Adaptability lets me teach in the way that works best for each individual. I don’t stick to one method. If one approach doesn’t work, we try another. I use real-life examples, music that students love, and creative exercises to keep learning exciting and effective.

My lessons also include optional support in music theory, composition, or performance readiness. Whether you're just beginning or looking to grow as a pianist, I’ll adapt to your learning style and help you move forward with confidence."
