About Divya
I am a university student at the University of Manchester. I am doing a biosciences degree, however, English has always been a strong point all throughout school for me. I have always performed well academically, both during my IGCSEs and the IB. I also do creative writing as a hobby.

Every student is different and has different needs, so I do not have a strict lesson plan.
I will first have a consultation session where we talk about your goals and what you hope to achieve from my lessons.
Typically, each lesson will run for an hour. I will spend the first 10 minutes or so going over assigned homework and answering questions. We will then have 40 minutes of teaching, where I will use a wide range of resources to help you understand the topic better. This includes videos, diagrams, power point presentations, etc. I recognise that one form of providing information can be overwhelming and hard to take in. Using different kinds of media helps to reduce this and allows for much easier absorption of material. I will then spend the last 10 minutes reviewing the lesson and assigning any homework to further strengthen what you have learnt.
I teach English to students from KS3 to GCSE. I teach everything from grammar and punctuation to modern literature.
