About Earl
I begin my work with each student by asking about their goals for their vocal training so that we can orient the lessons to what it is they are really trying to achieve. I don't believe in cookie-cutter lessons.
I am an avid learner about the voice. I continue to read and study about vocal technique and pedagogy so that my teaching stays aligned with current best practices. The best teachers are life-long learners. I have also been blessed to train and mentor newer vocal coaches to continue the tradition of high level training for our singers.
I also am still active as an artist myself. I continue to write, record, and release my own music, which requires for me to put into action all the things that I teach my clients.

My teaching focuses on training the singer as a vocal athlete. Students learn vocal technique that will allow for them greater range, power, tone quality, resonance, and stamina. I stress development of good daily vocal hygiene and maintenance that will ensure vocal health and longevity. I tailor each singer's regimen of exercises and warmups to their individual vocal needs for the styles they are focusing upon. The technical skills then are applied to their songs and performance needs.
I teach students from 10 to 80 years of age, beginners to advanced levels.
