I am a current student and have a passion for working with and teaching children. A typical lesson plan for me follows an explicit, systematic approach. To begin I gather background information and current skill levels for the student. I have them practice with this skill to warmup and build confidence. Following this, I introduce the topic and model this for the student. We then will work through a few problems/scenarios/readings together, and I will have them finishing up on their own by the end.
