About Delilah
I am a piano tutor with over 9 years of experience teaching both in-person and online. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, which has provided me with a strong foundation in technique, theory, and performance. My teaching philosophy centers on active participation, helping students play with intention and musical expression while building well-rounded musicianship. I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual needs, blending history, theory, technical exercises, and creative exploration. My approach encourages students to understand music deeply while developing their own artistic voice. I have guided learners from Beginner to Advanced levels, as well as those pursuing Professional and Expert-level mastery. Through my lessons, students gain confidence, skill, and a genuine passion for music. I focus on making learning engaging, rewarding, and inspiring. Whether you want to strengthen technique, explore musical styles, or perform with confidence, I am here to support you.

My piano teaching approach is built around helping students gain musical fluency step by step. I begin with the basics of reading music so students can understand what they see on the page. Rhythm drills and finger exercises are a core part of my lessons, as they create the technical foundation needed to play with ease. I also guide students in interpreting songs so they learn to play with both accuracy and expression.
Each lesson is adapted to the student’s pace and personal goals. Some move quickly and seek advanced challenges, while others grow steadily with patient support. I encourage both approaches, making sure every learner feels confident and motivated. Along the way, I highlight structure in music, so students not only play notes but also understand how pieces are built.
I especially support learners who show exceptional dedication or natural ability, helping them refine their skills to a very high level. At the same time, I make sure that every student—no matter their background—finds joy and pride in their progress. My goal is to help students develop a passion for piano that grows stronger with every lesson.
