I’m a piano teacher with over 7 years of experience and a Graduate Diploma in Piano Pedagogy. I love helping my students connect deeply with the music they play. For me, music is not just notes—it’s emotion, storytelling, and expression. I focus on building strong foundations in pedal technique and dynamic control, which are essential for bringing music to life. Nuanced musical expression is a key part of every lesson. My teaching approach focuses on nurturing creativity while providing a solid structure for songwriting on the piano. I guide students through composing melodies and harmonies, crafting memorable intros and outros, and developing strong musical themes. Each lesson encourages exploration while maintaining clear goals. I believe every student has a unique musical voice that deserves to be heard. I’m especially skilled at working with The Therapy Seeker and The Jazz Pianist, helping them channel their emotions and ideas into original compositions. We work step-by-step to build confidence and technique alongside creativity. I use examples, hands-on exercises, and listening activities to inspire and inform. My goal is to help you express yourself fully through your music. You’ll learn how to organise your ideas and bring them to life on the piano. Together, we’ll focus on crafting pieces that feel authentic and meaningful. This balance of creativity and structure supports lasting growth.
