About Shane
I am a dedicated Piano tutor with 14 years of teaching and work experience, guiding school to college students in their musical journey. My passion for music and education drives everything I do. I believe that learning piano is not just about notes and technique, but also about expression, creativity, and joy. Over the years, I’ve helped many students build confidence, improve their skills, and even perform on stage for the first time—milestones that inspire me as much as them. I create a supportive and encouraging environment where each student can grow at their own pace. Whether it's classical, jazz, pop, or soul, I make lessons engaging and tailored to each student's goals. Watching my students connect with music and develop a true love for piano is the most rewarding part of my work. My mission is to make learning meaningful, fun, and inspiring for every student I teach.

My teaching methodology for Piano is built on accountability, creativity, and clear communication. I believe that students grow best when they are responsible for their learning, so I set clear goals and help them track their progress step by step. I make sure students stay motivated by celebrating small wins and encouraging consistent practice. Creativity is at the heart of my lessons—I use fun, engaging activities like improvisation, learning popular songs, and exploring different styles like classical, jazz, soul, and pop to keep things interesting. I also focus on strong communication, making sure students understand each concept clearly and feel comfortable asking questions. I adjust my teaching style to match each student’s needs, making lessons personal and effective. Along with piano, I can teach related instruments like keyboard, synthesiser, and harpsichord, giving students a well-rounded musical experience. My goal is to help every student enjoy learning and truly connect with the music they play.
