About Mila
I am a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Voice. My passion lies in helping students build vocal confidence, overcome performance anxiety, and connect deeply with the songs they love. I teach a variety of styles, including Pop, Indie, R&B, and Contemporary Worship. My lessons focus on breath control, expressive phrasing, and vocal health, ensuring that students develop strong, sustainable technique. I also provide live performance coaching, guiding students to shine on stage or in recording sessions. I enjoy working with shy beginners, teen performers, and aspiring recording artists, tailoring each session to their unique needs and goals. I emphasize creating a safe, supportive space where students can experiment, grow, and express themselves freely. Together, we explore technique, musicality, and emotional connection, making every lesson engaging and practical. My goal is to help students find their voice while enjoying the journey of musical self-expression. Whether you are starting out or preparing for performance, I am here to guide you step by step. My singing methodology focuses on developing musicality, pitch control, and emotional expression. For the Advanced Teen, lessons emphasize expanding vocal range, refining tone, and building confidence to perform solo or in ensemble settings. The Quartet Player works on harmonization, blending, and adaptability to different group dynamics.
Both personas practice vocal flexibility through scales, arpeggios, and genre-specific exercises, ensuring smooth transitions across styles like pop, jazz, classical, and R&B. Emotional expression is cultivated by interpreting lyrics, exploring phrasing, and connecting personal experiences to performance.
Technology supports every stage of learning. DAWs help track recordings, allowing students to analyze pitch and timing. Vocal apps provide feedback on accuracy and tone, while metronomes ensure rhythm consistency.
I encourage personalized song choices to foster engagement and creativity. Improvisation exercises help build confidence, while guided feedback develops precise control. Regular performance practice, both solo and ensemble, reinforces stage presence and adaptability.
