About Aurora

I’ve been playing music since I was 7 years old, following my older brother’s footsteps - also a composer and singer - and participating at the rehearsals and concerts of his band, where the arrangements of the songs were born. When I was 12, I spent my days on the piano or dancing to the music of the Blues Brothers in the living room. I was not interested in video games, not even TV. Music was always in my mind. I grew up listening to different musical genres from Bach to Aretha Franklin and creating music as it was a therapy for my soul. Music is the language of the universe, the key to creativity and a therapy for your mental health and body. Music helped me a lot throughout the years, making my days better. As I teacher, I try to transmit the love I feel for this amazing art and all the skills the goals the students want to achieve. I create individual programmes based on pupils’ interests. ABOUT Aurora Rays is a vocalist, composer, pianist and International Music Award Winner inspired by music in all its forms. She is based in the UK and she holds a jazz bachelor and master degree with Distinction.  In 2022 she obtained the Global Talent Visa (UK) and she has been nominated as for “Top 50 Artists-Worldwide” and “Best Pop Act” at "Show4Me Music Awards 2022”.  Recent performances highlights include: The BritFest with Tunde (the lighthouse family), Sounds of Europe Festival, LoveBird Festival, Chaplins Underground, Opera House - Doha (Qatar) with Dana Al Fardan, Albert’s Schloss - Birmingham, Pizza Express, Italy’s got talent, Scenes - Usa, Sidmouth Fringe Sessions, Symphony Hall, Gaiajazz Festival, Dolomiti Blues & Soul Festival and many others. In 2024 Aurora did her second European tour, performing anticipating her new album in different countries such as Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy and UK. She currently teaches at N. London and RCS London. She's the owner of U-NIVERSE (Education). Her talent and discipline have served as an inspiration to myself and many others.”

About the lesson

Music is my passion and I am dedicated to creating an environment which empowers and inspires my students. I want to help them on their journey and understand what is the driving force behind their musicianship. The areas I teach are: music theory, piano, singing and songwriting. I am a passionate teacher who wants to get to know the students on a personal level to understand what it is they want to achieve from their music creation. From this I create personal programmes for each student focusing on areas which will benefit them the most. I am a confident teacher, but also approachable and open to conversation with students. I want to create an environment where no question feels too basic to ask, and no one fears making a mistake.

I was looking for a singer for the song I had written and hadn't found anyone in months when I met Aurora through chance. I asked her if she would be interested and she immediately agreed, which was one of the best things that could happen.

Not only is she an amazing singer, but she is pro-active as well, always trying to find ways to make it sound better. She is very hard-working and takes her job seriously to achieve the best. Aurora shows her ambition by not stopping before she knows she ras reached the best she can do (and her best is very high-standard and high quality)!

I really enjoyed working with Aurora and can only recommend her to everyone who's looking for a beautiful, deep and warm voice to enhance their music!
