I usually teach grammar by giving daily life examples . Cramming only rules can't teach you grammar. It happens when you start applying sentences in your real life. I would rather suggest not to think in English ,unless its your mother tongue but I, only suggest my students to think first in their mother tongue. Then by and by you can easily have a hold on the language.When it comes to teach literature part,its something you can be able to explain things by making a story
