About Anna

My name is Anna, and I am a two-time first-place national competition winner from the Czech Republic, motivated to share my flute expertise with other excited individuals. Currently studying in London, I offer tailored flute, recorder and piccolo lessons to people of all ages and ability levels. I have over 10 years of experience in performance and youth orchestra management, both domestically and internationally. I welcome all music styles, as I have, apart from classical competitions, participated in a commercial swing big band and also recorded multiple contemporary pieces from today's authors. If you are an experienced player and want to refine your technique or are a complete beginner and just want to explore something new, I am more than happy to help you on that journey! About the lesson

My lessons are highly tailored to each student, whether you're a complete beginner, an advanced player looking to explore different styles, or simply someone who wants to enjoy their time and broaden their skill set. I focus on building strong fundamentals while also encouraging creativity and expression, particularly in contemporary techniques. Lectures include technical exercises, a broad and tailored repertoire, and the basics of musical theory, constantly adapted to the student's goals and a variety of musical tastes. Typically, lessons are 45 minutes, depending on the level, with flexible scheduling available. I have over 10 years of experience in playing and performing, having performed across Czech venues, including the opening of Prague Spring, as well as internationally in Nürnberg and Paris. In conjunction with my musical journey, I have organised a youth orchestra for over five years, helping young people of various levels and ages. I have been awarded first place twice in the Czech National Woodwind Competition. Together with my competitive passion, I have played for over 2 years in a big commercial band and have accompanied one of the oldest Czech choirs, Hlahol. Whether you're playing for fun or aiming high, I am more than excited to share my passion and love for the flute with you!
