About Abigail
Hi, I am Abby Pinch and I am a Biomedical Engineering Student at the University of Michigan. I am currently working part time in the Ultrasound Lab at the University of Michigan, where I analyze data and create biomaterials necessary for experiments. Aside from my lab experience, I have been a softball coach and an umpire for girls ages 4-14. Working as a softball coach and in the lab has allowed me to develop effective communication skills that translate into my tutoring abilities.
Ever since I was 12 years old, I have had the pleasure of tutoring students from various backgrounds. Since I started tutoring at such a young age, I have had the opportunity to cultivate my teaching skills unlike most tutors.

I encourage students to take "super notes", which are notes on the most important lessons in your notes. I then provide several practice problems. When students are confused, I break down every step until they fully understand each concept. I have tutored in the past for ages 5-17 and each student has praised the level to which they understand material after I have had a session with them.
