About Suhaib
Hi, my name is Suhaib and I’m a second-year medical student at Kings College London University. I find medicine such a fascinating topic because of how vast the subject is, and how progress is still being made daily. Also, this knowledge is very applicable, which makes what you learn interesting as you could encounter that issue in real life. Consequently, I believe that you can make studying for exams much more enjoyable by learning in a style which emphasis an understanding instead of just memorising.
Outside of studying I enjoy playing sports such as cricket, basketball and table tennis. I believe that I am good at time management since I able to balance a heavy workload with my interests in sports and other social activities. This is because I know how to revise efficiently through methods I developed over my A-levels.

As a tutor, I believe my greatest attribute would be the ability to teach students about how to learn in ways which are the most effective and time efficient. Also after just completing A levels myself I feel I have a greater understanding of what examiners are testing and how to answer exam questions that other tutors.
Prior to the lesson I would ask the student to give me a topic they struggle on. This would allow me to prepare the lesson plan and exam questions which test that knowledge. During the lesson I aim to teach in a way where the student will be able to understand the underlying concept of that topic. At the end of the lesson I would go through an example exam question and then ask the student to take me through a different exam question, implementing what they learnt.
The best method of learning is one which includes active recall and spaced repetition. Through these ways a student is able to learn information at a much faster rate. I used a variety of methods during my A-levels to better learn the information and how to answer exam questions, allowing me to achieve 3A*’s. Over the course of the online lessons I will share what methods I used, how, and why they are effective.
