About Emily

I’m currently based in Spain on a year abroad while I study Politics and Spanish at the University of Bristol. I’m passionate about sharing my love for the Spanish language and culture. In Spain, I currently teach Primary school English. I have previous experience teaching Secondary school Spanish and hope to train as a teacher after graduating.

I truly enjoy helping students build confidence and improve their skills through lessons tailored to their needs. I’m excited to support learners on their journey and make Spanish enjoyable and accessible for everyone!

About the lesson

My teaching approach is personalised and student-focused. I tailor lessons to each learner’s needs, combining practical communication exercises with clear strategies aligned to the curriculum specification. Lessons typically include a mix of speaking practice, vocabulary building, grammar explanations, and exam-style activities. I use engaging materials like dialogues, roleplays, and listening exercises to make learning dynamic and relevant. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students build confidence and develop real-world language skills at their own pace.

Emily is wonderful. She's helped me understand the key principles of Spanish, and I'm still working with her to become a more confident Spanish speaker. She is incredibly passionate about teaching, and gives 110% to every activity. She takes time to develop the best plan for your learning style, and understand exactly what you need to learn. Emily is approachable and friendly, making it effortless to ask questions and build confidence. I'd recommend her to anyone interested in learning Spanish.
