About Patrick
I’m a chemistry educator and learning specialist with over 13 years of experience teaching, tutoring, and developing instructional content for students at the high school and college-prep level. I currently teach Honors Chemistry at Stuyvesant High School and specialize in Regents Chemistry, AP Chemistry, SAT/ACT science support, and foundational college chemistry. Across multiple years, my students have achieved exceptionally high pass and mastery rates, often exceeding 90%, because I focus on helping students truly understand concepts rather than memorize steps.
Students often describe my teaching style as patient, structured, and easy to follow. I break difficult topics into manageable parts, explain the “why” behind chemistry, and adapt lessons to each student’s learning style and confidence level. I also create personalized practice materials, review guides, and step-by-step strategies to help students improve efficiently and reduce test anxiety.
What I love most about tutoring is seeing students go from feeling overwhelmed or intimidated by science to feeling capable, confident, and proud of themselves. Whether a student is aiming for a top score, trying to pass a difficult class, or rebuilding confidence after struggling, I believe every student can improve with the right support and approach.
