About Ingrid
Hi! My name is Ingrid Bautista. I am currently a 4th year BS in Biology student at the University of the Philippines Visayas. I am well-experienced in microbiological laboratory settings and ecological field sampling.
During my past three years in UP, I became a member of our department’s publication where I became a resource speaker in a journalism training workshop in Cabasi Sta. Rosa Elementary School. I am also a part of the House Council as a Secretary in our university dormitory.
I am a writer, an aspiring biologist, and a future wannabe doctor. My go-to principle is to always practice discipline both in art and in science.

As a student myself, I am well-aware of what a student-teacher dynamics should be and is very much exposed to the teaching environment. I know when a student starts to feel that the class is getting boring and I know how to make it interactive for them.
A typical lesson plan would include interactive critical thinking activity before delving into serious discussion on topics like biology, environmental science, etc. and wrapping up with real-life applications of the said topic. I usually incorporate deductive teaching methods especially if the topics are scientific and broad so that the students can have a holistic first impression and will appreciate more the details as we go further onto the lessons. I encourage student to question me and themselves as well.
As a Biology major and coming from one of the top universities in the country, I am confident in my knowledge on the said course especially topics from elementary to high school.
