About Manon

I am Manon, a 22 year-old French and German student at the University of Cambridge. I am obsessed with all things languages, and I hope I can spread some of that passion with my tutees. Next year I will be pursuing a Masters course in Medieval Spanish Art History at the Courtauld institute, and I'm excited to use my Spanish once again. In my spare time, I am a freelance French translator for the wonderful charity Translators' Without Borders, I play the cello and I am a writer with the Cambridge Footlights.

About the lesson

I am 22 years old and in my final year studying French and German at Cambridge University. I also speak Spanish (which I can tutor) and Welsh fluently, with a smattering of Catalan, Italian and Arabic. I love picking up new languages and teaching them to others.

Everybody learns differently, and part of tutoring is figuring out how you relate to language learning. For me, reading books in French was the best way to build my relationship with the language and become fluent, but for others it's all about vocabulary lists- that's something we can work out together.

I am happy to tutor any age and any level, up to and including A Level. I can also provide Oxbridge interview and entrance exam prep.

As I am moving between London and Cambridge, I would prefer to do online tutoring so that we never miss a class. In my experience, an hour is about as long as anybody can stay focused on one thing, but I'm happy to be led by you on how long you would like each session to be.
