About Anna
I've always believed that history is one of the most relevant subjects you can study — it helps us understand conflict, power, identity, and change in a way that no other subject quite does. That passion for the subject is what led me to Leeds, and it's what drives me as a tutor too.
I love teaching because there's something really rewarding about helping someone go from feeling lost or overwhelmed to feeling genuinely confident in a topic. History can feel like a lot to take in — dates, events, essays, sources — but when it all clicks into place, it's brilliant to be part of that process.
I'm patient, enthusiastic, and I tailor every session to the individual. Whether you need help structuring an argument, understanding the bigger picture, or just want someone to make the subject feel less intimidating, I'm here for it. For me, tutoring isn't just about hitting grades — it's about helping students find their own curiosity and love for the subject along the way.

I'm a fourth-year History student at the University of Leeds with a passion for modern history — from the upheavals of the 19th century right through to the world we live in today. I love exploring how the past shapes the present, and I'm here to help you do the same.
I specialise in tutoring KS3, GCSE, and A-Level History, whether that's getting to grips with the causes of the World Wars, understanding the Cold War, tackling source analysis, or crafting the well-structured essays that A-Level demands. I know how daunting exams can feel, so my approach is all about building confidence, making sense of the bigger picture, and breaking tricky topics down into something manageable.
No question is ever too basic, I genuinely enjoy those "I finally get it!" moments and I'll work at whatever pace suits you best.
