About Tanisha
Hi! I'm a 4th-year medical student based in the UK with a strong passion for teaching and mentoring. I specialise in A-Level Biology, pre-med school preparation (including UCAT and MMI coaching), and Year 1 & 2 medical school content such as anatomy, physiology, and clinical reasoning. With over a year of experience in 1:1 peer mentoring, I was proud to be awarded Student Mentoring Winner 2024/2025. My approach is student-centred and adaptable—I aim to simplify complex topics, build confidence, and create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. My lessons are interactive, exam-focused, and designed to help students build both understanding and exam technique. I like to structure sessions around carefully crafted exam-style questions, guiding students through how to break down the question, spot key clues, and eliminate incorrect options. Rather than simply giving the right answer, I believe in teaching the why behind each option—helping students understand not only what’s correct, but also why the other choices aren’t. This encourages deeper learning, critical thinking, and greater confidence when approaching unfamiliar questions in real exams. Lessons are tailored to the student’s level—whether that’s A-Level Biology, pre-med entrance prep (like UCAT/MMI), or early-year medical school topics.
