About Abigail
Hi! I am a middle school special education/reading and writing teacher in Chicago Public Schools! I am in my fourth year teaching, and I absolutely LOVE what I do! I am incredibly passionate about growing the whole child—not just academically, but also socially and emotionally. I am very intentional about creating fun and engaging lessons for students! I love to read in my free time, and try to spread that passion to each student I work with. I am so excited to meet you and your student!

I approach each lesson based on the needs of each individual student. While some students are visual learners, other students require more hands on approaches to learning. Each student has individual strengths and skillsets, so making lessons individualized helps address the needs of each student. I currently teach middle school ages, but have experience with all ages K-12!
I am very intentional in making each lesson as fun and engaging as possible! The more engaged students are with the work, the more students will grow!
I cannot wait to get to know you and your student, and create a plan that best supports their strengths and needs!
