About Reuben
I'll keep this bit brief, but to the point. We all know medicine is a hard degree. It's easy to feel like there's endless physiology, anatomy, conditions and medications to learn. I felt that way in early years too.
However since starting clinical years I've learnt skills to make medicine easier to understand. I'm a big believer in working smarter, not harder and ensuring the content feels manageable. I love teaching and find helping students understand topics they previously found overwhelming incredibly rewarding.
I'm going into my last year of medical school this August, so you can rest assured all the knowledge is still fresh in my mind and I'm clued into how the exams work, what is tested and the best way to learn it.

My ethos is to keep medicine simple. It can seem incredible overwhelming and like there are endless things to learn. That is why it is vital to focus on the basics, and build up your confidence and overall knowledge from the ground up - so you can smash the exams which lets be honest - all medical students fear!
First class degree with honours in BSc Medical Sciences in my intercalation year - so you couldn't be in better hands choosing me as a tutor.
>80% in all anatomy, knowledge tests and physiology exams in medical school so far.
I structure my teaching with the following structure:
firstly, helping the student understand the basics of the fundamental systems of the body covered in years 1-3
using the above knowledge to make the common diseases assessed in exams more digestible and easier to remember
then I bring together the above knowledge to ensure the presentations, examination findings, management and overall care of these conditions are easy to remember and nicely summarised.
these will be delivered in hour long lessons, using notes, practice questions and frequent quizzing to ensure the knowledge is airtight!
GCSE grades: 5 9s, 4 8s and an A*
A-Levels A* A* A, UCAT 1910 band 1 and received 4 offers for medical school.
