About Anna
My name is Anna. I am a 6th grade ELA teacher with a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's in Secondary English Education. I have experience teaching from ages 9 to 17. My teaching philosophy is very simple: Every day, we take steps in the direction of who we are MEANT to be. All of my students are capable of learning. Most often, those that fail to meet expectations are those that believe they had no chance. Half of what teaching is, is boosting confidence and giving children the building blocks (not the answers!) to their own success. My teaching practices involve intentional modeling, flexible scaffolding strategies, and opportunities for improvement that sticks!

On my day to day, I'm a 6th grade ELA teacher! I love what I do, which includes helping students strengthen their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills in a supportive way.
