About Mai
I am a native, professional Japanese teacher, recently completed master's degree in Japanese Language Education after 15 years teaching experience. I taught various students with diverse background in Japan and globally from young learners to business professionals. In my previous role at a college in Japan, I have successfully helped students with university transfers and career advancements. With my teaching experience and knowledge, I will guide you to achieve your target. Feel free to message me to find a lesson time that works best for you!! I am fully qualified with MA in Japanese Language Education (2025), Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language (2007). Additionally, I have passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test (2022).

Academic Writing/Reading/Speaking (discussion/presentation): To improve your writing, please send me your essays, journal entries or other academic work before our sessions. If you have a specific topic to discuss or read closely, send related readings. I'll review them and give you feedback during the sessions. I can also create custom lesson materials for you. I'll guide you through complex texts and discussions using authentic Japanese resources, developing your analytical skills and cultural understanding for academic excellence.
