About Durga
Hello! I'm Durga, an Academic Planner at a private primary school and an experienced tutor with over five years of teaching experience for Year 1–6 and Lower Secondary students.
I specialise in Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, English, Tamil, and Sejarah. My lessons are personalised to suit each student's learning pace and ability. I have extensive experience guiding young learners, especially Year 1 and Year 2 pupils, in building strong foundations in reading, writing, and Mathematics.
Many students struggle not because they are weak, but because they lack confidence or have difficulty understanding questions. I patiently guide them step by step until they understand the concepts and are able to solve questions independently.
As an Academic Planner, I prepare lesson plans, monitor pupils' academic progress, and work closely with the current school syllabus and assessment requirements. This enables me to provide structured, effective lessons that meet students' learning needs.
I believe every child can improve with patience, encouragement, and the right guidance. My goal is to help students achieve better academic results, build confidence, and develop a positive attitude towards learning.
