About Sonia

If you want to learn Polish, I’m here to help you. I am a native speaker, I am a doctor of linguistics. I graduated from Polish philology of the Adam Mickiewicz University. I’m also Polish language tutor at university (School of Form, SWPS, CDV and European University of Business). I am constantly developing and improving my skills during the courses for teachers, where we share knowledge, experiences and new ideas with other teachers. I have experience in running individual and group courses (language schools, corporate courses etc.). Since several years have been teaching Polish as a foreign language on individual and groups courses. I have been teaching people from more than 60 countries (UK, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Lebanon, Cameroon, Spain, Brazil, Italy, Lithuania, the USA, Mexico, Venezuela, Germany, India, Norway). I want that you will enjoy my classes. Hope it will be for you a great journey into Polish culture and traditions. Hope to meet in the lesson :)

About the lesson

I’m a patient, friendly, and enthusiastic teacher who loves showing the beauty of both Poland and the Polish language. Although Polish is often considered one of the most challenging languages in the world, I know how to teach it in a simple and enjoyable way. I try to combine all skills—reading, speaking, writing, and listening—but I always place the greatest emphasis on speaking. I tailor each lesson to the individual needs of my students—every class is truly made to measure.

I had private lesson with her. She is very patient. Even if I don’t remember something which we have learned once, she repeated and kindly taught again. She also tried to make our lesson as I want to . When I asked some topics, she always shared the materials which seemed very interesting. She prepare the lesson well in person and online both. If you are looking for a polish teacher, I would like to recommend her :)

First of all, Sonia is a full committed, patient, focused and attentive teacher that enjoys what she does and that makes the classes very pleasant and interesting. She always has the classes very well prepared and knows exactly where I have doubts and has the capacity of explaining me in different ways until I understand.
Learning Polish is not an easy language and its sometimes difficult to maintain motivation.
Sonia has an easy going way of explaining and motivating me without feeling that is a hard experience.

We started by having polish grammar reviews, and later we started having conversational classes (my favorite part). Day by day use conversations, plus subjects that interest me and learning a language from scratch in a correct way.

Sonia has been helping me to learn Polish for the last 6 months. As an English native speaker with little time Polish is a hard language to learn. I had tried once before with another Polish tutor who tried to push me too quickly without the right level of support so I gave up for 2 years.

However Sonia has been amazing at understanding my pace and also helping to review and reinforce areas where I'm weak to make me move ahead and make me feel like I am not overwhelmed.

She's very flexible in terms of times and very honest in terms of hours we have done and how much credit I have left. Very professional and patient most of all with English people that struggle to pronounce Polish words properly she really helps.

Would highly recommend Sonia and will continue to learn with her.
