About Keira
I am an experienced computer programming tutor with more than 6 years of teaching experience guiding students through GCSE, A-Level, and University computer science studies. My focus is on helping learners build confidence, improve coding knowledge, and develop the analytical skills needed to succeed in modern computing subjects.
I have supported students with a variety of programming languages and technical topics including Python, C++, JavaScript, algorithms, databases, and software development concepts. My lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive, and practical, allowing students to understand both the theory and application of programming in real-world scenarios.
I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I personalise lessons according to ability level, learning pace, and academic goals. My teaching style encourages curiosity, active participation, and consistent improvement while creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. My programming lessons are built around clarity, creativity, and practical understanding for GCSE, A-Level, and University learners. I aim to help students move beyond memorising syntax by developing genuine computational thinking and problem-solving abilities. Every lesson is personalised to address individual strengths, weaknesses, and educational objectives.
Teaching sessions involve step-by-step explanations, coding practice, real-life applications, and collaborative exercises that encourage active learning. Students can receive guidance in Python, C#, Java, web technologies, algorithms, databases, and software engineering concepts. Additional support is available for exam revision, coursework assistance, debugging techniques, and project development.
I focus on creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. Difficult subjects are broken into clear and manageable stages to reduce frustration and improve understanding. Lessons are interactive, organised, and designed to build both technical competence and independent learning habits.
