About Cindy

My name is Cindy, and I am a highly motivated, recent 17-year-old high school graduate who took an unconventional path to academic success. Being driven by a passion for efficiency, success, and language, I decided to fast-track my education. I challenged myself by completing both Grade 11 and Grade 12 English within a single academic year and graduated a year ahead of time while maintaining straight 90s in my courses, honor roll throughout my high school years, and over 1k of volunteer hours.

Because I just recently completed the current curriculum, I possess a fresh, up-to-date understanding of exactly what teachers are looking for on essays, rubrics, and exams. My goal as a tutor is to take the intimidation factor out of high-level English coursework. I offer my students a relatable peer-to-peer mentoring experience that bridges the gap between complex academic expectations and practical, actionable study habits. Outside of tutoring, I hold a strong interest in the legal field, which shapes my structured and highly logical approach to analytical writing.

About the lesson

I use a collaborative, peer-to-peer approach focusing on decoding rubrics. Rather than a full-on lecture, I use other methods to show students how to build a strong thesis statement and structure logical arguments, which is perfect for those pursuing or interested in future law or humanities fields.

Why Me?
I just went through the exact same curriculum, meaning it is still recent for me; fresh memory. I fast-tracked high school and completed both grade 11 and 12 English within one single year with straight 90s.
