About Stephen
I am a dedicated piano tutor with more than 16+ years of experience teaching students from school, college, and working professional backgrounds. I am passionate about helping students learn and grow in music.
My teaching method focuses on communication, flexibility, and step-by-step learning. I customise my lessons based on each student’s needs and pace. I focus on building strong basics before moving to advanced skills.
Along with piano, I teach music theory, rhythm practice, and ear training. These subjects help students gain a deeper understanding of music. I include simple exercises and song practice.
My unique skill is simplifying complex topics into easy steps. I help students improve their consistency, technique, and confidence. I also guide them in effective practice routines.
I aim to create a supportive and motivating environment. My goal is to make piano learning enjoyable and meaningful.

My teaching methodology emphasises holistic, engaging, and expressive learning. I believe piano education should combine technical skill, creativity, and personal expression while remaining motivating and enjoyable. Through consistent communication, I understand each student’s goals, strengths, and challenges, allowing me to design lessons that are personalised and highly effective.
I encourage creativity in every lesson. Students are guided to improvise, compose their own music, and explore a variety of musical styles. Flexibility allows lessons to be tailored to the student’s pace, skill level, and learning style, ensuring a positive and productive learning experience.
In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This comprehensive approach develops technical skills, expressive ability, and musical understanding. My aim is to help students grow into confident, skilled, and passionate musicians who enjoy exploring and performing music.
