About Jennifer A

I have 20 years of experience in tutoring. I also have been a published author since 2006. I am experienced in tutoring in writing (creative and technical), as well as editing dissertations, or other documents. I am experienced with prospective authors. I have helped them write the book, and walk them through the self-publishing process, as well as educated them on how to go about traditional publishing should it be their desire. I also am experienced with the academic realm from elementary to dissertation writing. Reading I mostly tutor elementary age.

About the lesson

I will assess the student on the first day to determine their exact areas of weakness, and discuss their goals to achieve in tutoring, as sometimes it is more editing than teaching. If it involves teaching, I will design a custom lesson plan to address the "roots" of their struggle. I will also give homework or extra practice, so what we cover will be more likely to stick. As far as authors, I have taught them and I have assisted in the writing, or finishing of books. I can help from the very beginning or come in the middle. Either way, I love helping other authors achieve their dreams in addition to teaching in the academic setting.

We can drive to your preferred place of the sessions rather it is your home, my home, or a different place that you would like. We are open to travel as long as it is local on the west side of Houston such as Katy, Cypress, Richmond and the like. If you child is getting out of school right before the session, we can pick him or her up to travel with us to the place you want the service such as home. This is as long a there is someone to watch him/her after we finish the session at your preferred place.
