About Riya
I am a Math tutor with over 3 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics. I specialize in introducing advanced high school and early university students to mathematical logic and proof theory. My lessons focus on formal reasoning, propositional and predicate logic, and foundational set theory. I use engaging paradoxes and problem-solving techniques to make these challenging topics accessible and stimulating. Many of my students are pursuing studies in philosophy, computer science, or pure mathematics, and I tailor my teaching to support their specific goals. I believe that understanding the logic behind mathematics builds a strong foundation for all advanced topics. My approach encourages critical thinking and a deep appreciation for the structure of mathematics. I aim to make rigorous mathematical thinking clear and rewarding. Lessons are interactive and encourage students to explore ideas independently while guiding them carefully. I enjoy helping students develop confidence in constructing proofs and understanding abstract concepts. If you want to master the art of logical reasoning and mathematical rigor, I’m here to help you on that journey.

My teaching style is warm, interactive, and rich with storytelling to make math come alive. I especially enjoy helping students who struggle with math anxiety or need a fresh way to see numbers. I bring subjects like logical puzzles, pattern recognition, and conceptual visualization into every lesson. I also share fascinating historical math anecdotes to spark curiosity and show math’s real-world impact.
I use visual aids, simple games, and relatable examples to make learning clear and engaging. This approach helps students connect abstract ideas to everyday life, making math less intimidating and more fun. I’m skilled at working with Quant and Economist learners, focusing on their deep engagement and fast progress.
My goal is to build confidence and excitement around math, turning challenges into achievements. Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and style, ensuring they grasp concepts fully. Together, we’ll transform math into a subject you enjoy and succeed in.
