As an experience opera singer and dedicated educator, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the realm of vocal instruction.
Trained at esteemed institutions such as the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, the Royal College of Music, and the Wales International Academy of Voice, my journey in music has been marked by relentless pursuit of excellence. From gracing the stages of renowned opera houses across the UK and Europe as a soloist with companies such as the Royal opera House, Welsh National Opera and Opera Holland Park, my performance career has been nothing short of fulfilling.
Driven by a passion for both artistry and academia, I am currently engaged in PhD doctoral research, exploring the intricate interplay between vocal pedagogy and professional development within UK conservatoires. This academic pursuit, coupled with my extensive teaching experience, equips me with a deep understanding of the nuances of vocal technique and performance.
My approach to teaching is rooted in fostering a nurturing and supportive environment, where students are empowered to explore and develop their unique vocal abilities. Through tailored instruction and personalized feedback, I strive to cultivate not only technical proficiency but also artistic expression and confidence in my students.

As a singing teacher, my approach is tailored to each student's unique needs, combining traditional techniques with modern pedagogy. I believe in fostering a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable exploring their voice.
My teaching practice revolves around building a strong foundation in vocal technique, vocal resonance, and proper vocal placement. I incorporate exercises to improve range, flexibility, and tone quality while also emphasising musical interpretation and expression. I believe in integrating technique with interpretation, incorporating elements of stagecraft to allow you to draw out the composer's meaning behind the music.
A typical lesson usually lasts around one hour, allowing ample time for technical exercises, repertoire study, feedback, and confidence coaching. However, I'm flexible and can adjust lesson lengths based on individual preferences and goals.
With qualifications from prestigious institutions like the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, the Royal College of Music, and the Wales International Academy of Voice, coupled with my extensive experience as an operatic baritone and choir leader, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my teaching.
