About Mihir

I am a friendly, patient and personable tutor who is determined to help you unlock your potential. Having gone through the GCSE and A-Level examination process, achieving 9 grade 9s and 4 A* Grades, I understand what methods and explanations work well for students to fully understand a topic. Equally, I’ve tried pretty much every revision method, and found out what works well for me - I will help you do the same.

About the lesson

Ready to lock in? My lessons can be broken down into 2 categories: Learning and Revision. In a Learning lesson, we will focus on learning and, more importantly, understanding the content. This will involve me explaining the concepts (with diagrams and examples where needed) and you asking questions, as well as doing some practice exam-style questions. In a Revision lesson, we will make use of various active recall techniques, including “blurting”, question & answer, fact sheeting, fill-in-the-gaps and talking it out. As well as more traditional revision methods, like exam style questions. I will also show you how to use the specification of your exam board to optimise your revision and maximise your marks. As we get closer to exams (whether they are End of Year exams for your year or your GCSEs / A-Levels) I will support your exam practice, including by recommending past papers, how to tackle the paper, how to manage your time and we can go through your answers too. Before each lesson, let me know what type of lesson you’d like (Learning or Revision) and the subject and topics you need help on. If you need more general subject support - we can make a plan tailored for you that will get you ready for the exams. Studying can be a daunting process, but I will make it as enjoyable as possible. Whether you’re aiming for the top grades, or looking to achieve your targets - I will help you get there. I’m a firm believer that once you understand what you’re learning the self-gratification is unmatched. Let’s unlock your potential!
