About Luke
Hi, my name’s Luke. I graduated from Christian Brother’s College Cork in 2026, and am hoping to study Philosophy at Trinity this September. Initially, my goal was to study medicine in Dublin, and thus I was determined to score highly in the HPAT. However, after obtaining the 100th percentile and 211 points in my HPAT, I decided medicine wasn’t for me.
Nevertheless, the skills I learned in studying for the HPAT were invaluable, and I am so grateful for having taken on the exam. I also hope that my alternative path in Philosophy might help provide you with a unique perspective on the exam. As someone outside of the medicine pathway, I believe I can offer something different, and can give more time to HPAT tutoring without the intensive workload that plagues many medical students!
However, most importantly, I’m patient and am willing to meet you absolutely wherever you are in your HPAT journey!

In the 2026 HPAT exam, I achieved the 100th percentile. Just a few months previously, I was given the 21st percentile in a certified mock exam. Evidently, I was not naturally gifted at HPAT, but thankfully talent is not required. The HPAT tests skills. Some people are born with these skills, and others develop them. Regardless of how you obtain such skills, the HPAT will test for them fairly.
I know what it takes to learn these skills, and am therefore delighted to help you with your HPAT study. Wherever you’re at, I’ve been there; thus, lessons will be individually tailored to your needs. First, we can assess where you’re at. Then, we can implement practical strategies to target your weaknesses and build on your inherent strengths. I steadfastly believe anyone can succeed at HPAT. All that’s required is strategy and determination!
