About Tyler

Hi! My name is Tyler, and I'm an ACS Chemistry major with minors in Mathematics and Physics from Cambridge, MA.

I specialize in helping high school and college students understand challenging STEM concepts instead of simply memorizing formulas. Whether you're preparing for an upcoming exam, struggling through homework, or trying to build confidence before the next semester, I'll work with you step-by-step until the material makes sense.

I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt each lesson to your learning style. My goal is not only to improve your grades but also to help you become an independent problem solver.

I can help with:

• General Chemistry I & II
• Organic Chemistry I & II
• College Physics I & II
• Nursing Chemistry
• Chemistry Support Courses
• High School Chemistry
• High School Physics
• Homework help
• Exam review
• Study strategies

Lessons are conducted online using Zoom with an interactive whiteboard, allowing us to work through problems together in real time.

Whether you need help passing a difficult course or want to earn an A, I'd be happy to help you reach your goals.

About the lesson

Every lesson is personalized to the student's goals.

Instead of simply showing solutions, I focus on helping students understand why concepts work so they can solve unfamiliar problems confidently on quizzes and exams.

A typical lesson includes:

Reviewing previous material
Working through practice problems together
Identifying common mistakes
Building efficient problem-solving strategies
Creating a study plan for future success

My sessions are interactive, encouraging students to ask questions and develop confidence rather than passively watching someone else solve problems.

Tyler has a genuine talent for teaching. I've watched him help classmates work through chemistry and math problems by breaking them into simple, understandable steps. He's incredibly patient, encouraging, and doesn't give up until the concept clicks. If you're looking for someone who is knowledgeable, professional, and truly cares about helping students succeed, I highly recommend him.

I've known Tyler for several years and have always been impressed by his ability to explain difficult STEM concepts. He's patient, knowledgeable, and takes the time to make sure people actually understand the material instead of just memorizing it. As a chemistry major with strong backgrounds in math and physics, he's the person many of us naturally go to when we have questions. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dedicated and reliable tutor.
