About Angelika-May
I'm Angelika May, I graduated with a Theatre and Performance degree in 2020. From there I went to Drama school to study for an MA in Acting. I now work as a professional actor. I've decided to pursue a venture in teaching, as I wouldn't be working as an actor now had it not been for my teachers at school, who inspired me and pushed me to reach for my goals. Teachers have a huge impact on a student's development, I can only hope to make such an impression on someone that helps them to aspire to their goals. I loved introducing pieces of literature to the children I taught whilst nannying, it's a magical feeling to pass on the flame and ignite new passions in others. Whether students want to be taught in Literature or Drama, I can offer a professional approach that is tailored towards their goals and curriculum whilst continuing to find the joy and excitement of these subjects.

I am a compassionate and caring tutor, one who looks to teach from an understanding approach. I propose a fun, unique, and creative way to learn by encouraging students to explore what excites them and to apply this to their curriculum. As a teacher who is also neurodivergent, I am able to understand the needs of children who perhaps struggle in education due to such needs. I propose an hour, to two hours depending on the student's needs, longer lessons can be arranged upon request. I encourage myself to find the perfect balance between work and fun, as these were methodologies that encouraged me to learn growing up. My tutoring experience is limited to my work as a nanny, during the pandemic I nannied for a family and provided the children with a mix of play and education. Often finding ways to weave between the two, such as nature walks. My lessons are catered to students who are looking to be taught in English, Drama up to GCSE level.
