I just graduated with a First Class in an Actuarial Science Degree. I took Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Economics in A-Levels and scored 4A*s.

I believe mathematics is learned best conceptually, visually and repetition. First to explain the concept, then draw out possible graphs to make the concept less abstract and more acceptable, then practice around questions of different difficulty to get a good feel of what is being tested.
